Aimee Kelly is a British actress who was born in Newcastle-Upon-Tyne. She stars in the British Feature Film Sket. She was educated at the Sacred Heart Catholic High School (Newcastle upon Tyne). Her English teacher, Mrs Jessie-May Perry, a former television and theatre casting assistant, encouraged Aimee’s interest in acting, giving her the title role in a school production of Calamity Jane. Aimee also attended extra-curricular drama lessons at the Sage Academy of Performing Arts in Newcastle. At 15 years of age, Aimee decided she wanted to pursue a career as an actor, and applied to take A Levels at Tring Park School for the Performing Arts, leaving her mother and two sisters Katie (Aimee’s non-identical twin) and younger sister Molly in Newcastle and becoming a boarder for two years at the Hertforshire campus. In 2010, attending an open audition for the TV show Skins during half-term, Amy was spotted by the casting director Jane Ripley who asked her to audition for the feature film Sket which was also casting at the time.

Sket is a 2011 British urban retribution thriller film, set in the inner estates of North West London. Released in October 2011, the film comes from the makers of Shank and Anuvahood. Starring Lily Loveless, Aimee Kelly, Adelayo Adedayo, Emma Hartley-Miller, Slaine Kelly, Varada Sethu and Ashley Walters as the lead stars, the film is the feature-length directorial debut of writer Nirpal Bhogal. Sket was filmed on location in London. The estate where Kayla and her sister live is the Rowley Way Estate near West Hampstead, whilst the girl gang are shown living at the Whittington Estate on Dartmouth Park Hill, with one scene filmed in nearby Chester Road. Both estates are in the borough of Camden. The film premiered at the BFI London Film Festival as part of the "Film on the Square", and was released in cinemas Nationwide on October 28, 2011. The DVD and Blu-ray were released on March 5, 2012.
