Alex Nauth Backing vocalist
Alex Nauth is the backup singer/trumpeter for Foxy Shazam and the lead singer/trumpeter for Look Afraid. He was born in Berea, Ohio on April 20, 1986 and graduated from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio in 2008 with a degree in Trumpet Performance. He started the ska group Sofapunch in 2004, which ended in 2006. Along with Sofapunch guitarist Mat Franklin he formed the rock & roll band Look Afraid in late 2006 and has released four CDs with them. Alex joined Foxy Shazam in 2008 after singer Eric Nally attended a Look Afraid show and was impressed with his performance. He is now a full time member of the band and contributed significantly to their upcoming self-titled album.

Foxy Shazam is an American rock band from Cincinnati, Ohio, formed in 2004. The band is composed of lead vocalist Eric Nally, guitarist Loren Turner, pianist Sky White, bass player Daisy, trumpeter and back-up vocalist Alex Nauth, and drummer Aaron McVeigh. The band released their debut album The Flamingo Trigger independently before signing with Ferret Music, under which they recorded their second album, Introducing. The following year, the band recorded its first major label record with producer John Feldmann. Foxy Shazam signed with Sire Records and released its self-titled major label debut in 2010. The band's fourth studio album, The Church of Rock and Roll, was released in January 2012. Gonzo, the band's fifth album, was released April 2, 2014.
