Amber Sherlock

Amber Sherlock (née Higlett) is an Australian journalist and television news presenter. She currently presents the weather on Nine News Sydney from Friday to Sunday and also presents Nine News updates 3 days a week and is a fill in presenter on Nine Morning News and Nine Afternoon News. Amber previously presented the morning edition of the Qantas Inflight News, broadcast on the Nine Network as Nine Early Morning News and was the news presenter on Weekend Today and Monday news presenter on Today. She was replaced by Alicia Gorey. Sherlock joined the Nine Network in 2007 to present the business segments for the Today, Nine Morning News Hour and Nine Afternoon News. In January 2009, it was announced that Sherlock would be the news presenter for Weekend Today, alongside co-hosts Cameron Williams and Leila McKinnon. In July 2009, Sherlock was appointed Monday news presenter for Today, as Georgie Gardner presents Nine News Sydney on Friday and Saturday. Before joining the Nine Network, Sherlock worked as a news and business presenter for Sky News Australia. Prior to that, she hosted a news and current affairs programme, State Focus, for Southern Cross Ten in Canberra for two years.
