Greg Budell is a disc jockey and talk radio personality. Budell began his career in 1972 at WLS-FM in Chicago, which was then an AOR station. In the mid-1970s, Budell became the personal promotions coordinator for the rock group Styx, a position he held until early 1978. In 1979, Budell moved to Miami, Florida, and, for over twenty-five years, worked in the radio industry there. Some of the stations Greg worked for included WAXY, WLVE, WIOD, and WJNA, among many others. Greg Budell moved to Montgomery, Alabama, in April 2005 and began his current appointment as the morning drive DJ on Alice 96.1. WQKS-FM is one of two rock-formatted stations in the Montgomery market. In August 2005, Budell began an afternoon talk show on WACV-AM 1170, also owned by Bluewater Broadcasting. The Greg Show became the dominant talk show in the market by August 2007, combining elements of humor with local and state political issues.
