Jack Olesker

Writer/producer/director Jack Olesker has created over a thousand produced television episodes, nine films and six novels. As a children's entertainment screenwriter, he has penned episodes for such children's series as The Littles, Care Bears, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Super Mario Bros, and Heathcliff. Olesker co-created and wrote the series bible and bulk of the 1990s revamped He-man effort The New Adventures of He-Man and did the original development work for the Americanization of Super Sentai which became Mighty Morphin Power Rangers for Haim Saban. In addition, while working as the head story editor at DiC Entertainment, he created the cartoon adaptations for Lady Lovely Locks and the Popples. His novels span the spectrum from murder mysteries to historical sagas and occult thrillers. His first novel -- NO PLACE LIKE HOME -- was published in 1976. Sherry Lansing purchased the film rights during her tenure at MGM and the novel went on to become a bestseller. Olesker's latest novel -- CAST ON, BET'S OFF (2007) -- is the first in The Lisa & Max Devereaux Sit & Knit Mysteries.
