John McCormack Professional Boxer

John McCormack was an African American small-time boxer and bareknuckle street fighter prominent in the mid-1980s said to be "the hardest man in New York". McCormack was based in New York City, said to be extremely vicious and unorthodox, and allegedly fought in bouts organized by the Mafia. He was known as the "Irishman" due to his Irish name. McCormack lasted three minutes in a bout against the British bareknuckle fighter, Lenny McLean.
