Kate Cosgrove

Kate Cosgrove (born 1978) is an American illustrator, artist, writer and comic strip creator. Cosgrove wrote and illustrated the weekly comic strip, WhiteGirl, which appeared in the Lansing NOISE for almost 4 years, ending in November 2008. In 2009, she illustrated an album by The Verve Pipe titled A Family Album. Cosgrove graduated from Michigan State University with a BFA in 2001. Cosgrove authored and illustrated a series of bilingual monster books for children entitled Babel Buddies. She also illustrated a children's book for the grant project "Chicago Welcomes You". The project's objective was to help Burmese refugees from Thailand acclimate to their new home in Chicago. The narrative Ah Mu Weaves a Story was written by Sara Gilliam. Cosgrove and Gilliam also co-created an independent children's book The Bee Remedy.  ( Wikipedia article )
