Kate Abdo (born September 8, 1981, in Manchester as Kate Giles) is a British journalist and sports anchor for German Sky Sport News. Kate anchors the World Sport program out of London twice a day. Previously, she anchored sports at German TV channel, DW-TV. Kate joined CNN in July 2009, and has interviewed sporting greats such as Clarence Seedorf, David Ginola, Sir Jackie Stewart, and Lawrence Dallaglio. In August 2011, Kate left CNN and joined Sky Deutschland. There, she is the new anchor for the new TV channel Sky Sport News HD, which started broadcasting on December the 1st in 2011. Before moving to London, Kate lived in Spain, France and Germany, and is fluent in all Spanish, French, and German, as well as English.  ( Wikipedia article )
