Kathleen Tan is a Singaporean management executive and is currently the Regional Head of Commercial at AirAsia She is best noted for being instrumental in driving the Malaysian low cost airline to become the Asia's largest low cost carrier and the world's best low cost airline. She was previously with Warner Music before joining AirAsia in 2004. Described as one of Asia’s top 10 most influential women leaders, brand advocate in travel industry, Kathleen started her career with AirAsia as Senior Vice President for Greater China. Barely a year, Kathleen was roped in to assume position as Regional Head of Commercial for AirAsia Group. Under her dynamic and creative leadership, Kathleen has been pivotal in building AirAsia, an Asian brand to one that has become a global and powerful brand in the aviation industry, winning many global brand and digital marketing accolades. Her gutsy spirit and passion won the hearts of many in China and AirAsia became the first airline in the world to introduce the concept of low cost travelling 5 years ago and today, boast the largest foreign network to China.
