Ron DiCianni (born 1958) is a contemporary Christian artist and author who primarily uses oil on canvas. DiCianni was born on the North Side of Chicago, Illinois to Italian immigrants. After attending the American Academy of Art in Chicago, he embarked on a career in commercial illustration. Quickly recognized as one of the nation¬タルs most talented illustrators, his client list included such companies as McDonald's, Eli Lilly and Company, Ford, Baxter, Philadelphia Eagles, Northwestern University and TV Guide. In 1980, DiCianni was selected as the first Olympic Illustrator for the United States. No matter how successful or acclaimed, DiCianni had always indicated a desire to use his talents in combination with his Faith but could not find the support for such an endeavor. However in 1992 he created a painting called Spiritual Warfare which showed a father praying for his son during bedtime. This painting was reproduced as a limited edition lithograph and became one of the best selling Fine Art prints of all time.
