Ryan M. Place Writer

Ryan M. Place (born June 20th, 1985 on Detroit's southwest side) is an Italian-German writer and filmmaker. Place attended high school at the Plymouth-Canton Educational Park, graduated with a B.S. in Film from Eastern Michigan University and is currently living in Detroit working on a variety of upcoming projects. Place has contributed to publications like Real Detroit Weekly, iSPY Magazine and emYOU! The Magazine and is currently a freelance journalist. Place is also founder, president and CEO of Detroit-based global film production company Margrave Pictures. Margrave Pictures, known for unusual independent comedies like Clipped and Aquapulp, has a number of upcoming productions scheduled. In 2010, Place was a Production Assistant for DreamWorks on Transformers: Dark of the Moon in Detroit and is currently a Satellite Film Locations Scout for the Michigan Film Office. Place volunteers irregularly at the Capuchin Soup Kitchen in Detroit and is a member of the following organizations: the Detroit Economic Club, Ayn Rand Institute, Philosophical Research Society, U.S.
